The team of Conferre SA has been working together since 2001 organizing congresses and all types of events, social and scientific, specializing in the needs of their administration and ensuring their success.

Lina Siamopoulou

Lina Siamopoulou studied French Language and Literature, at the School of Philosophy of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has also attended the E- Learning Educational Programme “Public Relations and Administration” run by the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.

During her studies she worked as a volunteer in the Athens Medical Society and then for a 2-year period at a Professional Congress Organizing Bureau in Athens.

She returned to Ioannina in 2001 and established the company Conferre SA, specializing in the organization of meetings, scientific events and congresses.

She has been active in the congress management industry for 19 years.

Elisavet Kosta

Elisavet Kosta completed her studies in the Faculty of Information Science & Informatics at Department of Archives, Library Science and Museology, of the Ionian University.

During her studies she worked in the library and Information Center of the University of Ioannina. She has also worked as a volunteer in Zosimaia Public Library of Ioannina.

She joined Conferre SA team in January 2010.

Since 2013 to-dateshe is attending a postgraduate programme (M.A.) in Cultural Organizations Management at Hellenic Open University.

After the completion of her postgraduate studies, she pursued the continuation of research regarding cultural routes and began PhD studies at the Department of Archives, Library Science and Museology of the Ionian University, Corfu, Greece in September 2016.

She speaks English fluently, she is a beginner in Italian Language and she likes reading and travelling.

Marilena Dounavi

Marilena Dounavi studied Computer Science at the Department of Computer Sciences of the University of Ioannina where she got her Master degree in Computer Engineering & Informatics, as well.

Being a lover of the English language she started working during her studies as an English teacher in a private school for a 2-year period and also worked voluntarily at the position of the secretarial support for the Greek Tourism Organisation. Then, she focused more on the field of informatics and worked in a research project of the University of Ioannina, assisted in some labs of the same University and then worked for a web development company where she started creating mainly websites.

Marilena speaks English fluently, she is a beginner in French Language and she is interested in philosophy and volunteerism.

Arieta Maidatsi

Arieta Maidatsi studied History at the Ionian University of Corfu and continued her studies at the Pedagogic Department of Nursery School of Ioannina University. At the same time she attended history courses through e-learning from Harvard and Wellesley College. She has worked at the Management Agency of the National Park of Tzoumerka, Peristeri & Arachthos Gorge as a Historian. She did her internship at Arsakeio Kindergarten of Ioannina and also was a volunteer at the Zosimaia Central Public Library.

Arieta is very important for Conferre Team and when she is in charge of a project, she knows how to inspire and communicate with her colleagues and partners!

Georgia Gesiou

Georgia Gessiou was born in Naoussa, Greece on April 12th 1991. She completed her High School studies with a distinction and she is a recent graduate student of the Early Childhood Education department of the School of Education, in the University of Ioannina, Greece (level 6, grade 9/10).

At the beginning of her career (2013), Georgia worked as an intern preschool teacher in an Academic English Centre for kids in Innsbruck, Austria, “Cole English Centre for kids” (as through an Erasmus placement scholarship). She has published a chapter, as a member of the writing group, in the “Tsitsanoudi N., (2013) Language and Greek crisis: An analysis of form and content. New York: Untested Ideas Research Center.” During the summer semester of 2014 she was a Teaching Assistant in the Laboratory of Pedagogy and Teaching Methodology, assisting the lectures, mentoring and supervising student’s internships, and undertaking research work.

Georgia is new to Conferre team but has already supported successfully the work of important Greek and International events.

Georgia speks English and she is interested in travelling and volunteering.

Katerina Babali

She Studied Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Ioannina focusing in the Analytical field and experimenting on electrochemical sensoring based on carbon screen-printed electrodes.

She joined the team of Conferre SA, as an assistant project manager responsible for overall assistance on projects dedicated to the organization of meetings executing also (part of) projects independently.

She is mainly responsible for the preparation of congress material (program, abstract books), handling all submitted abstracts and preparing the final editions.

Katerina speaks English fluently, she is a lover of martial arts, practising different styles for more than 20 years and she is also interested in philosophy and volunteerism.

Sofia Axioti

Sofia Axioti studied Philosophy-Pedagogy & Psychology at the School of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina. During her undergraduate studies she was awarded by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Afterwards she got her Master degree in Modern and Contemporary Greek and European History from the Department of History & Archaeology at the same University. During her postgraduate studies she had the privilege to attend classes of Modern European History as a scholar of (IKY) Erasmus Programme at the University of Basel in Switzerland.

She has worked as an English and Greek tutor in private school institutions. She has also worked as assistant in the University Library of Ioannina.

Sofia speaks English and German fluently and she is interested in fitness activities and literature.

Sofia is one of the newest team members working in the congress department handling especially the communication and support of congresses with international participation.

Mariangela Vlaikou

Mariangela holds a PhD in Stress and Genetics from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ioannina and a BSc in Biological Applications and Technology from the same University. As a PhD student, she gained international research experience at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich, Germany after being awarded a Max Planck Society Fellowship. She has extensive teaching and supervision experience at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ioannina. She is fluent in English and German.

She joined the team of Conferre SA recently as an assistant project manager working in the congress department. She is responsible for overall assistance on projects dedicated to the organization of meetings.

Maria Avgerinou

Maria Avgerinou studied in Gestion Hôtelière & Restauration in Montreal Canada.

She has over 15 years of experience in the Hotel and Events field in the areas of Business Development, Revenue, Sales & Marketing and Olympic Games Events.

Maria is working in the reservation department handling the accommodation & transportation for all congress delegates.

Vicky Kosta

Vicky Kosta studied Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at the School of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina. She has also attended the E- Learning Educational Programme «Police and Judicial reportage», run by National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.

During her studies, she worked as a columnist in a lifestyle magazine, and then for a 3-year period at a local television station, as a reporter, newscaster and entertainment broadcast presenter.

She also used to write responses from Ioannina, to site «Protagon.gr».

Since 2009, she works as an editor, in the daily newspaper «Proina Nea» and at the local television station «Ioannina TV».

She is working with Conferre SA as a Press Officer and a Social Media Intern responsible to manage our client’s social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube, from strategy to execution and content creation.

She speaks English and French.

Konstantinos Bletsos

Konstantinos Bletsos studied Accounting at the Accounting and Finance Department of the University of Western Macedonia (1998-2002).

Konstantinos brings over 12 years in accounting with much experience from small to medium sized companies. Moreover, he has much inside in financial reporting, tax policies and warehouse logistics. Now, he is focusing more on accounting control and audit of conferences. He acknowledges the great importance of continuing learning and having a self improvement mindset has participated in a lot of accounting seminars and projects like: “Adaptability of small-medium sized Enterprises in Tourism and local products in the province of Epirus”.

He speaks English and he is interested in sports, travelling and new technology.

Nikolaos Goulas

He studied at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens - Department of Informatics.

He works with Conferre SA for the last 10 years supervising and managing the Audio Visual support of Events and exhibitions and specializing on the System Analysis and design, Application design, Database Design, Graphic and multimedia applications.

Christer Vaitsis

Christer Vaitsis studied Computer and Systems Sciences at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, DSV of Stockholm University, Sweden (1998-2003) and received his Master of Science (MS) in 2003.

Christer brings over 14 years of software and web development experience. Prior to joining Conferre SA, he worked on development of software for banking systems and solutions.

He works with Conferre SA since 2008 responsible for the development and support of all web development projects (e.g. conference and events websites, online applications and services).
