The city of Preveza


This year the Organizing Committee is honored to host the 11th European Conference on Pesticides and Related Organic Micropollutants in the Environment & the 17th Symposium on Chemistry and Fate of Modern Pesticides, in Preveza, Greece.

Preveza lies in northwestern Greece, in the region of Epirus. Located in the entrance of Ambracian Gulf, Preveza can boast for its extensive coastline (over 60kms). Within short distance, one can visit the islands of Ionian Sea and many blue flag awarded beaches.

Preveza is famous, among others, for Ancient Nicopolis, the Acheron River and the Necromanteion (Oracle of the Dead). Get the touch of history on the cobblestone streets of its historical center and stroll around the port with its beautiful, traditional buildings.

By car: the existing national road and the underwater tunnel of Aktio - Preveza can assure fast connection of Preveza with the rest mainland of Greece
