Abstract Submission

for Oral and Poster Presentations

Please read the instructions carefully. When you are ready for submission, click on the Online Abstract Submission Form, at the bottom of this page.

Abstracts must be submitted ONLY ONLINE through this website.
Abstracts submitted by fax or email will not be accepted.

As a prerequisite for approval of an abstract, at least one of the authors needs to have submitted the on-line Registration form for participation to the Conference.

Acceptance

All abstracts will be evaluated by the Organizing-Scientific Committee and the ones to be accepted for Oral or Poster presentation will be assigned to one of the respective sections of the Scientific Program of the Conference. The Organizing-Scientific Committee will be responsible for the final selection and arrangement of abstracts in sessions in the context of the final program of the Conference.

- When submitting their abstract online, authors will be guided to indicate the corresponding topic (one selection), by selecting one of the following:

  • Bioinformatics
  • Chemical Biology
  • Biotechnology
  • Structure and Function of Macromolecules
  • Other selection (indicate the topic that best describes your work if different from the above)

- The final selection and arrangement in categories is made by the Organizing-Scientific Committee.

Guidelines for preparation and online submission of abstracts

  • Language: All abstracts must be prepared and submitted in English.
  • Corresponding author: The abstract submission form should be completed by the author who will be responsible for all correspondence (a correct e-mail address is really important).
  • Title: The title should not exceed a limit of 25 words. Please do not use abbreviations (apart from common abbreviations of scientific terms widely used).
  • Authors: The authors' names should be fully written in lowercase letters (e.g. George E. Papadopoulos).
  • Affiliations: The corresponding author should provide the affiliation details of all authors (Department/University/Institution etc). Use numbering to indicate the affiliation for each author. Each affiliation should be entered only once (not repeated for every author). To indicate multiple affiliations for the same author, kindly use more than one numbers (e.g. George E. Papadopoulos 1,2).
  • Main Body:
    o Length: Abstracts (text body) should not exceed the limit of 300 words.
    o Format: When submitting the text of the abstract in the form, no specific text formatting is required (font, size, italics / bold, bullets, etc.).
    o Note: In the box of the main text, DO NOT insert: Title, authors’ names and affiliations, bulleted lists, unnecessary gaps and line changes (and formats related to page layout as they will not be kept) and DO NOT use capital letters only.
    o Acknowledgments: Acknowledgment(s) can be added in a separate box which appears in the online submission form.

Important Notes

  • For any abstract submitted, the Registration Fee for at least one of the authors must be paid (until October 12th, 2016).

Confirmation

After the online submission of your abstract, you will automatically receive (by e-mail) an "Abstract Submission Number" indicating that your abstract has been submitted successfully. This number must be referred to in all correspondence. Please print or save this receipt on your computer, as it will serve as a confirmation of the successful submission of your abstract.

Notification e-mail

Corresponding authors will be notified on the acceptance of their abstracts by e-mail*on October 31st, 2016..
